Biggera Waters Family Practice is committed to providing compassionate, continuous care to the families we look after.

At this time, our practice is only able to accept new patients who are immediate family members of an existing patient. We truly value your interest in joining our community and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. Please feel welcome to check back in the future, as our capacity may change.

BECOMING A NEW Patient


To join our practice, please complete a New Patient Registration Form before your appointment. This helps our team understand your health history, Medicare details, and any ongoing conditions requiring management.

Please bring:

  • A valid Medicare card
  • Photo identification
  • Any current medication lists or specialist letters

Please Note - At times, we may temporarily limit acceptance of new patients based on appointment capacity. Please contact reception for current availability.

COVID-19 Information


If you are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat, runny nose, or flu-like symptoms, please call the clinic before attending in person.

We may organise:

  • A telehealth consultation
  • Safe entry procedures
  • Testing guidance

Zero Tolerance Policy


We maintain a Zero Tolerance approach to all forms of abusive, threatening, or aggressive behaviour.

Fees & Bulk Billing Information


We are a mixed-billing practice.

Bulk billing may be available for eligible patients under specific categories. Fees may apply for certain appointment types, procedures, or extended consultations.

Our reception team will advise you of any out-of-pocket costs prior to your appointment.

Closing the Gap (CTG) Information


We proudly participate in the Closing The Gap (CTG) program, supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients to access affordable medicines and improved healthcare outcomes.

If you identify as Indigenous, please speak with our team about registering for CTG support.

Telehealth Information


Telehealth appointments are available for eligible patients.

To access Medicare rebates for telehealth, you must have had a face-to-face appointment in the last 12 months, as per Medicare requirements.

Telehealth may be used for:

  • Repeat scripts
  • Chronic disease reviews
  • Mental health care plan follow-ups
  • Non-urgent medical advice

Patient Privacy


Your medical information is handled in accordance with Australian Privacy Laws.

We ensure:

Recall & Reminder System


We use a secure reminder system to assist with:

Test Results


Your doctor will inform you when to expect your results.

To maintain privacy and accuracy:

  • Results are not provided by reception staff
  • A follow-up appointment may be required
  • Urgent results will be actioned promptly by the clinical team
